I booked with Talavera for my birthday party in Oct'24 and they were amazing!! The food was delicious and the amount was perfect (with leftovers even!) for our 40 guests. They were professional & friendly in the setup, service, and cleanup. I'd highly recommend them for any event!

Catering by Talavera for my friends 70th birthday. Fantastic food. We had their carne asada, al pastor and pollo street tacos. Accompanying salsas and sides were so fresh with real homemade flavor. No mass produced or canned ingredients. The beans were on point, perfect amount of salt and espazote. So classic. Totally worth the 250 mile round trip for a great day in San Jose.

Talavera Tacos saved my baby shower! My original caterer cancelled on me the night before the event, and Talavera was there to step in and save the event without a single misstep. Anthony was very professional and organized in helping prepare the catering service with only 24 hours notice. Alex, Rich and Derek were all nice and professional guys that actually catered the event. They showed up promptly 90 minutes before they were scheduled to start serving at the 125 person baby shower. Food was phenomenal - tacos with 3 types of meat, chips, salsa, beans, rice, aqua frescas and all other tacos fixings. My other caterer cancelling was blessing in disguise because no way it would have been a better experience than Talavera. Highly recommend this taco caterer for your next event! We booked Talavera for my daughter's first birthday party and we are so glad that we did. They were very responsive when giving a quote and updating the quote as our party grew. They were able to answer all of our questions and concerns. It took a lot of the stress out of the party planning process. The day of, Jose was very communicative and professional. The tacos were a huge hit at the party. The flavors were spot on and the presentation was so nice. Everyone wanted to know where we got the tacos. I would use them again.

First off I was so scared to hire them based off a few reviews for their response rate. I spoke to Anthony and he gave me much reassurance I was in good hands. 1. I received my invoice within a few hours of speaking with him. (He did miss giving me the prices for smaller parties, no biggie he 100% made up for that lack of communication.) 2. It was hard to get in contact with them prior to my party. I requested a quote on here in order to know when to contact them after several emails, and texts with no response. After they responded on here I figured it would be a good time to give a call which worked. They're busy, you have to catch them when they're not super busy. 3. Jose catered our event and was so friendly, super amazing. OMG, I cannot express how kind, and professional, yet personable they are. Oh man, they were so pleasant. They wrapped our food at the end. They were so nice to the guest. Oh man I can't high five them enough. The setup was perfect for us and them, not too much. They were on time with everything! If I could have tacos at every event and hire them I would. Yes, their communication can be shaky, however they are the best. The food was amazing. The setup was amazing. I have no complaints. I just wanted to share my true experience! WOW!

Talavera Tacos pulled off a catered dinner for 50 hungry waterpolo llayers and parents with only 24-hours notice. Set up at out hotel pavilion near the pool Jose and Jaime were friendly, professional, and accommodating. Not a negative comment from any of the guests they served. I found Talavera Tacos through Yelp as I wanted to host a catered lunch event at my work. Viet was extremely patient and great to work with as we had to work through some hoops with the building landlord. He also was able to work with the budget I had and it was more than enough food for our employees. Viet also was able to have his staff prep and cook all the food in advance, since we couldn't have it cooked onsite, which made the serving process quick and efficient for the hungry staff. Jose and Luis were great, they worked so hard to set up and serve us chicken, asada, pastor, and veggie tacos. The pastor and asada tacos were definitely my favorite. The rice and beans were also a hit, loved the accompaniment of grilled onions and jalapenos. I only had their creamy orange salsa and it was perfect. The watermelon agua fresca was also so refreshing and I may have had 3 cups of it! Everything was absolutely delicious! They packed up all the leftovers for us to take which was devoured afterwards even though many of us had seconds. Highly recommend Talavera Tacos for any of your events!

Thank you Talavera Tacos for feeding our son's birthday party! Communication was key with these guys, unfortunately weather on Saturday had us make a last minute change to Sunday instead. We appreciate them for helping us make the change and making sure we were still locked in for the birthday party. Guests all enjoyed the food and had seconds and thirds! We wanted to order taco for our farewell to a beloved teacher. Yelp sent my request to several vendors. Talavera was the most prompt and professional in giving me quotes. Price wise, they were all similar so I went ahead with Talavera. Everyone loved the food! They provided tables, decor, utensils and plates. We just have to show up. One thing I would request from Talavera is NOT to use styrofoam plate. Not environmentally friendly at all. Jose was the cook and server, friendly, efficient, and knew what he was doing. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Some people asked me for their biz card and I pointed to the QR code that Jose left behind. Some folks said they leave great review.
